Genshin Impact
HoYoverse published the second edition of the event preview for Version 7.1 of Genshin Impact, Requiem for the Kingdom of the Dead. The main news is Phase II, with rerun banners for Skirk and Escoffier. The notice also recaps what is still running in the version: the anniversary events and the limited regional exploration Forgotten Frozen Lands, both with rewards still to collect.
What changes in Phase II
Phase II started on October 13 and runs until November 3 at 14:59. Those hours come from the official notice, which uses server time, and each server has its own reset, so check the exact time on your own account before planning your pulls.
As the name says, this is the second half of the version's banner schedule, and the two character banners end on the same date.
The two character banners share the same guarantee counter. Pull on one, switch to the other, and the progress you made carries over. Nothing is wasted, which matters if you are still deciding between the two.
The 4-star rate-ups are the same on both banners: Dahlia, Candace and Mika. The weapon banner runs on the same dates, with Azurelight, Skirk's 5-star sword, and Symphonist of Scents, Escoffier's 5-star polearm.
Skirk or Escoffier: which one to pull for
Skirk is an on-field Cryo DPS. According to Sportskeeda, she is a strong Cryo DPS who plays around the freeze reaction. If your team still needs someone to carry the damage, she is the more direct pick.
Escoffier is a Cryo support. She lowers the Hydro and Cryo resistance of enemies and also heals the party. She makes more sense for players who already have a Cryo DPS built and want a support to go with them.
Both are Cryo, but they do different jobs: one carries the damage, the other makes the damage land and keeps the team alive. The rule of thumb is to look at what your account already has. No main damage dealer ready? Skirk gives you more. Already have a Cryo DPS you like? Escoffier gives you more.
Events that are still running
The notice confirms that the anniversary events and the limited Forgotten Frozen Lands exploration are still under way, with rewards to collect. If you have not picked those up yet, you still have time, but the closing date for these activities is not in the notice we used here. The in-game calendar is where you check how long each one stays up.
The Victory Foresight Dynamics event is also live in Natlan. You run battle simulations with the Combat Simulator, take part in prediction rounds and earn Primogems.
Codes and what to do now
There are several codes active right now. Among the ones that are working:
- EPIC2026: Primogems x40, Mora x20000 and Hero's Wit x5
- VesnaOnPatrol: Primogems x40, Mora x20000 and Hero's Wit x3
- GS71XAVWDS: Mora x30000, Hero's Wit x3 and Mystic Enhancement Ore x5
To redeem them, your account needs to have reached Adventure Rank 10. Below that, redemption stays locked. In the game, open the Paimon menu, go to Settings, then Account, choose Redeem Code, paste the code and confirm. You can also do it on the official website, signing in with your HoYoverse account and picking your server and character.
The rewards show up in your in-game Mail right after you redeem. Each code is tied to the server of the account, so a code from another region will not work. Codes handed out during official livestreams usually stay valid for about a day, so redeem the ones you have before they expire.
