Arknights: Endfield
Version 1.6 of Arknights: Endfield, called Sanctuary of Ink, brings two new 6★ Operators, and an official post about the second of them went up on the game's YouTube channel. Argent Flow is an Electric Guard who uses a sword, and the post confirms that his English voice is Howard Wang.
The announcement is short, but it says a few things at once: the class (Guard), the element (Electric), the weapon (sword) and the English voice actor. If you play with English audio, this is the first time you hear the character with that voice.
Who is Argent Flow
Argent Flow is a 6★ Operator from the Hongshan Academy of Sciences, and his race is Lung. He is an Imperial Guard of Yan and captain of the Pacified Skies group, and he fights mounted on his steed, Nuli. His official character description talks about someone who appears on the northern front line like lightning, but stops to help whoever he meets along the way, however small the problem.
In combat he uses the Sunderization mechanic: he applies stacks that are detonated by Crush damage, dealing area damage. He also applies Electrification, which increases every damage type the target takes for the same duration. That is why he fits physical and Arts teams, not just Electric ones.
Who is Howard Wang
Howard Wang is an American voice actor known for anime dubbing work, born on April 28, 1993. Before acting he worked at Riot Games, and he also runs a VTuber channel called Dust XinXue.
His credits include Xie Lian in Heaven Official's Blessing and Wuyang in Overwatch 2. In games he also voiced Venom in Guilty Gear Strive and Tetsu Tachibana in Yakuza 0 Director's Cut. In Endfield he will be the English voice of Argent Flow, while the Japanese version of the character is voiced by Yuichi Nakamura.
When Argent Flow arrives
The character arrives in the second phase of version 1.6, with the banner The Hearth Fire Beckons the Starry Flow, which starts on November 5, 2026. The first phase brings Si, another 6★ Operator, a Cryo Supporter, who also has the signature weapon Lunar Calling.
Version 1.6 arrives on October 15, alongside the launch of Arknights: Endfield on Steam. Before that, the pre-download is already available, and maintenance starts on October 15, 2026, at 06:00 (UTC+8), with Oroberyl ×900 as compensation. The update is mandatory.
What changes for you
If you already plan to pull, the useful thing to do now is save your Oroberyl for the second phase, because Argent Flow's banner comes after Si's. If you prefer the English dub, you can wait for the character's debut to hear Howard Wang in combat and story lines.
Argent Flow's phase has the story Back to the Rustics, which deals with his duty to Hongshan, his bond with Nuli and his past with the Endministrator. If you follow the narrative, that is the main reason to read the chapter carefully.
Until the character arrives, the code ENDFIELDSTEAM gives T-Creds, Elementary Cognitive Carrier, Arms INSP Set and a commemorative portrait frame. To redeem it, open Settings, go to Platform and account, tap Exchange Code, type the code and confirm. Each account can use the code once, and the rewards arrive in the in-game mail.
