HoYoverse published an introduction to Agent Phoenix's mechanics, and the main news in it is simple: her combat data has already been analysed and can be checked in the game. You don't have to wait for version 3.3 to go live to read how she works, because the numbers are already on her screen. The post doesn't reveal anything hidden. It is a pointer to the in-game data, published before the version that brings her.
What the official post says
The post is a presentation of the Agent ahead of her release, not a full kit breakdown. The combat data lives in the game, so the values for each of her skills are what you read there, on the skill screen, and not on the news page.
Phoenix is an S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent. By what HoYoverse announced, she is second in command of combat at the Krampus Compliance Authority, the faction she belongs to.
How Phoenix works
Her Core Skill is Nirvana. It makes enemies affected by an Anomaly able to take critical hits from the Anomaly damage applied afterwards. That changes how you can build the team around her: Phoenix doesn't have to be the only one causing Anomaly for the team to profit, so another unit can trigger the Anomaly and she still turns it into damage.
The other piece is Rebirth. Even after a fatal blow, she can revive on the spot with full HP and go back into the fight. It helps in long fights and in stages where one mistake ends the run, but it doesn't replace dodging and reading enemy attacks.
For the build, Icy Veins' guide puts Anomaly Proficiency as her most important stat, with ATK% right behind it. Check that order before you spend W-Engines or Drive Discs on her.
When she arrives
Version 3.3, Journey to the Sky, arrives on October 21, 2026. Phoenix is in the first phase, together with the S-Rank W-Engine Plume of Rebirth. Her banner, according to Game8's guide, runs from October 21 to November 11, 2026. The Agent and the W-Engine share the phase, so if you want both, they open on the same day.
Severian comes in the second phase, with a banner from November 11 to December 1, 2026. He is also an S-Rank Agent, and the version adds mech combat inside the main story, which HoYoverse described as a way to infiltrate enemy bases in disguise.
What the post does not cover
There are no multipliers, no energy costs and no recommended teams in the announcement. The presentation points to the in-game data for the numbers, and the rest of Phoenix's kit comes from the game itself. Until the version goes live, the character screen is the place to judge her.
What to do now
- Open Phoenix's combat data in the game and compare Nirvana and Rebirth with the team you already run. It costs nothing and tells you more than early reactions do.
- Do the check-in during version 3.3. The listed rewards are 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons, and there is no reason to skip free pulls if you log in anyway.
- Redeem the active codes now: ZENLESSGIFT, which gives Polychromes, an Official Investigator Log, a W-Engine Energy Source and a Bangboo Algorithm Module; and ZZZGRIND32, ZZZINK32 and ZZZVOID32, each with 20 Polychromes and 2222 Dennies.
To redeem, the official page asks for your HoYoverse account, your server and the code, with capital letters exactly as they appear. Some codes need a higher Inter-Knot Level, so check yours before you try. The rewards show up in the in-game Mail.
Nothing in the announcement points to banner changes beyond the dates above, and the official text doesn't go further than what the game already shows about Phoenix's kit.
