The maintenance for the first part of Epic Seven's version 8.7 update is on Thursday, October 29, from 03:00 to 10:00 UTC. Nobody can log in during that window, and the new content only shows up after the servers come back.
When the game goes offline
The official notice sets the maintenance for 03:00 to 10:00 UTC on October 29. It is the whole window: the game is unavailable from start to finish, so there is no point trying to sneak in a few runs halfway through.
Version 8.7 arrives in parts, and this is the first one. The notice also says times and details can change, and that any change will be posted on the same page. If you are planning your day around it, check the notice again before then.
What to do before the servers close
Log out before maintenance starts. The team asks players to log out beforehand so the data is saved correctly. With the window opening at 03:00 UTC, that means closing the game before then instead of leaving it open on the lobby screen.
If you have not answered the satisfaction survey about the last update, it closes on October 29 at 02:59 UTC, one minute before the servers go down.
There is also time to redeem the active code EPICWITHCZN, which gives 15 Covenant Bookmarks and 300,000 gold. In the game, open the event news on the main screen, tap Coupon, type the code and confirm. The rewards arrive right away or land in your mailbox. Do it before maintenance or after the game is back.
What part 1 of 8.7 brings
The new 5★ hero Bunny Girl Great Detective Moro joins the Mystic Summon. After maintenance, a hero trial event opens with a preview video and heroes to test, with 1 Leif per event. It runs until November 19 at 02:59 UTC.
The update also changes these:
- Stage 5 of Dawning Trajectory, in Milestone of Radiance, now gives a 5★ Moonlight hero selector. Anyone who already opened that stage's chest does not get the reward a second time.
- The Essence of Radiance storage limit goes up to 30,000.
- External controllers, such as gamepads, are now supported.
- Guild War gets new tie and league rules, and Emperor League now accepts guilds ranked 33rd to 300th.
The selector is the line worth checking first. If your account is sitting at that stage and has not opened the chest, you get a pick of a 5★ Moonlight hero when the servers return. If you already claimed it, plan the day around something else.
Bunny Girl Mafia Yufine arrives November 5
The 5★ Bunny Girl Mafia Yufine is an Ice Knight available from the Covenant Summon. Her Drop Rate Up banner runs from November 5 at 03:00 UTC to November 26 at 02:59 UTC, and the Knight artifact A Boss's Dignity is on it too.
On the banner, the heroine's rate is 1% and the artifact's is 1.05%. After 120 summons without the heroine, the next one is guaranteed. The Drop Rate Up banner does not appear together with the Moonlight heroes, but the normal Covenant summon works as well.
Foundry and Steam also start on October 29
The new Foundry server opens after maintenance on the same day, with Draft Arena available right away. Its first hours come right after the servers return. The Guild War schedule will be announced in November, and World Arena is set for December 10.
Epic Seven's official Steam launch also happens on October 29, ending the demo period. The game has Portuguese text and Korean and English voices. Japanese voiceover is not available at launch.
The Secret Rabbit♥Hole event starts after maintenance and runs until December 10 at 02:59 UTC. For Foundry and Steam, October 29 applies to everyone, but the exact hour each account gets its daily reset depends on the server.
