Epic Seven's new check-in, Record of the Journey, opened on October 29, right after the maintenance that ended at 09:00 UTC. It runs for 42 days, until December 10, and the reward waiting on the last day is a 5★ Covenant hero selector. The format is accumulated attendance, so the event doesn't care which days you log in, only how many.
How the check-in works
You'll find it in Lobby > Event > Special Event. Each login counts one day, and the reward you get depends on how many days you've banked. Skipping a day doesn't just cost you that day's reward: it also pushes every reward after it one day back, which is what makes a 42-day streak feel long.
Every seven days there's an extra reward on top of the normal daily one. Missed days can be restored, and the restoration is paid in Skystones, not in the Faint Guiding Stones the event hands out. That distinction matters, because the stones are the reward you actually want from most days.
The last seven days are a grace period. During it, only restorations are available and the normal check-in is closed. If you have days open by then, deal with them before the final week, not during it.
It's a login, not a grind: the daily job is opening the game and claiming, which is why the streak is the only hard requirement here.
Faint Guiding Stones feed Epic Road
Most days pay Faint Guiding Stones, the currency used in the Epic Road event. Epic Road also takes stones earned from missions, so the two add up: every login here is another shot at whatever you're picking up on that board.
Both run until December 10, so the stones have a deadline attached. If you reach the end of the check-in with a pile of stones still unspent, that last week is when to go through the Epic Road rewards you haven't claimed yet.
Day 42 is the reason to log in daily
Reaching the final day gives the 5★ Covenant hero selector, so instead of a random pull you choose which 5★ Covenant hero you get. Six weeks of logins for a guaranteed hero is the trade the event is offering, and if you're missing one specific hero for a team, the selector is the most direct way to close that gap.
The count only moves forward. Every skipped day moves day 42 one day further away, and the event still ends on December 10 whether you got there or not. The seven-day bonuses are the checkpoints along the way, so treat them as a progress bar rather than the goal.
Yufine arrives in the same window
Bunny Girl Mafia Yufine, the new 5★ hero, joins the Covenant Summon on November 5. She also gets a Drop Rate Up banner from November 5 to November 26, with higher rates for her and for the artifact A Boss's Dignity.
She's banned in competitive play. The ban is global in the 2026 Autumn World Arena and in the E7WC 2026 knockout stage, and she only becomes available in the championship final.
What to do now
- Log in every day starting October 29, and claim the reward before you close the game.
- If you miss a day, restore it with Skystones as soon as you can, before the grace period starts.
- Save the Faint Guiding Stones you don't spend yet for Epic Road, which also ends on December 10.
- Aim for day 42, not day 30. The selector is the whole point, and everything before it is fuel.
One date to put in your calendar: the deadline is December 10 at 02:59 UTC, which is 11:59 in Korea, where the notice was published. Nothing in the announcement points to an extension.
