The Journey Under the Stars: Celebration Toast event runs from October 19 to November 2 in Genshin Impact. The reward is the Prismatic Crystal, the token you spend on Colorful Surprise Boxes in Miliastra Wonderland. Two dates matter here, and the one that hits your rewards first is not the end of the event: missions close on October 29, while the event page stays up until November 2.
Who can join and until when
The event only opens for players who have already awakened their Manekin in Miliastra Wonderland. If you have not done that yet, it is the first step, and it counts both for this event and for the next ones that use the same system. There is no way around it: no Manekin, no event.
Then come the two dates. Mission completion runs until October 29. After that, the event stays open until November 2, but there are no more missions to add to your rewards. Leave everything for the last weekend and you risk losing part of what you could have earned, with the page still there to remind you.
How you earn Prismatic Crystals
During the mission period, the stages of Journey Under the Stars hand out Tourism Experiences. As you pile them up, you clear missions and get Prismatic Crystals as the reward.
The total amount of Tourism Experiences you can get climbs over time. On the first day the cap is 800. It then goes up 400 every two days, up to a maximum of 1,600. The number of stages available also grows as the event moves along, so logging in on day one does not mean you can do everything at once.
That pacing is the part worth planning around. If you only sit down to play in the final days, you will be racing a cap that took almost two weeks to reach its ceiling, and the missions stop on October 29 regardless. Spreading a few stages across the run is cheaper than a marathon on the last night.
The official news does not say how many crystals exist in total or what the milestones for each reward are. To see what is already within reach, check the event screen inside the game.
What Prismatic Crystals buy
The Prismatic Crystal buys Colorful Surprise Boxes inside Miliastra Worlds, the stages other players create. Each box has a price, contents and conditions set by whoever made the stage. Because the creator sets the price, what a crystal gets you depends on the stage you are in. Not every stage has these boxes, so they only show up where the creator placed them.
The crystal that comes from the event has an expiry date. The official news itself warns that it can only be used for a limited time. So beyond earning it, you need to spend it before it goes away, and that is a different kind of deadline from the ones on the event page.
What to do now
- Awaken your Manekin in Miliastra Wonderland if you have not done it yet.
- Put October 29 in your calendar as the missions deadline, not November 2.
- Run the event stages as they come instead of waiting for the 1,600 cap to open up.
- Once you have crystals, pick a Miliastra Wonderland stage you like and check whether it has Colorful Surprise Boxes before the expiry date catches you.
The event arrives alongside other Version 7.1 news, such as the Skirk and Escoffier themed discussions and the Official Top-Up Center sharing event. Each one has its own dates, so open them in the game separately and check the deadlines there. Missing a Primogem event because you were focused on the crystal one would be a silly way to end the version.
