Version 7.2, Hour of Ruin, is live. Maintenance started at 22:00 UTC on November 3 and was estimated at about five hours, so servers should have returned around 03:00 UTC on November 4. If you have not updated yet, the game asks for the download through the launcher on PC, the store on mobile or the update menu on console.
What the maintenance brought
Two Primogem compensations arrive by in-game mail. Each is worth 300, 600 total for anyone who reached Adventure Rank 5 or above before maintenance started. One is for the maintenance time. The other is for a fix to a problem that had been affecting the game.
The second one's deadline matters most now. It must be claimed by November 6 at 22:00 UTC. The first runs until the end of Version 7.2, and the official note gives no exact date for that, so do not wait to grab it.
The team also fixed a problem that, in certain situations, prevented teleporting or starting challenges in the The Grand Defense: Defy the Unjust Judgment event. If you got stuck there before, try again.
Mitya and Valeriy arrive in the Wishes
Mitya is a 5-star Electro character who uses a Catalyst. His held Elemental Skill performs a quick sequence of enhanced Charged Attacks, and he also deals off-field damage when used by tapping the button.
He arrives in the first phase of the Wishes alongside Valeriy, a 4-star Electro sword user who gives shields to the team. Phase I also brings Furina back in a rerun. Mitya and Furina's banners run until November 24.
For anyone building Mitya, the ascension material is the thing to watch. It comes as a reward from one of this version's Archon Quests, so finish the story before spending resources on him.
New areas in Snezhnaya
Version 7.2 opens the eastern part of Snezhnaya. The first region is Novokitezhgrad, the underground city that produces most of the nation's Kresnik Kristall. It sits at the end of a railway and is built entirely underground, surrounded by the crystal.
Further east is Wingspan Peak, a mountain shaped like a giant wing. Old Kitezhgrad, Snezhnaya's first city, is there. To handle the contaminated Kristall deposits, you get new Prime Ice Constructs and two elemental rifles.
The story starts with the Tsaritsa calling representatives of the Seven Nations to deal with the Sacred Ground Phenomenon. Anyone who completes the quest within the deadline gets 560 Primogems. There are also new Tsar's Secret Quests, and one of them gives a Snezhnaya-themed wind glider.
Events and dates for the version
The biggest reward event is The Grand Defense: Defy the Unjust Judgment, which gives 920 Primogems and runs from November 4 to December 16. The official calendar uses UTC+8, so dates can shift by a day depending on your time zone.
Other dates in the version:
- Keep Up With Mitya!, a community event, November 4 to 12.
- Stygian Onslaught, November 11 to December 15, with 450 Primogems.
- Stress Block Smashing Project, November 20 to 30, with 420 Primogems.
- Frames of Fierce Splendor, November 27 to December 7, with 420 Primogems.
The Spiral Abyss also gets a reset on November 16, in Phase 1.
What to do now
First, open the game and check your mail. Both 300 Primogem compensations should be there, and the second must be claimed before November 6 at 22:00 UTC.
If you are not yet Adventure Rank 10, code redemption is locked. Once you get there, there is one active code right now, KeepUpWithMitya, which gives Guide to Charity x3, Energy-Replenishing Meal x3 and Kristallfold x3. To redeem it, open the Paimon menu, go to Settings, then Account, Redeem Code, paste the code and confirm. The reward arrives in your mail.
If you plan to pull for Mitya, our advice is to check the ascension material and your Primogem balance before you spend on Phase 1, because it ends on November 24. If you play without spending, you can save the Primogems from the compensation and the events for that phase.
